It's been 75 years since federal agents gunned down John Dillinger outside the Biograph Theater in Chicago, but the bank robber continues to be a provocative figure in American history.
So despite all of the dialogue, forums, campaign promises, speeches, and political theater, most issues (like the federal budget, the debt ceiling, tax reform, union benefits, health care, jobs creation, climate management, and education) are either stalemated by fundamental disagreements or pushed forward by the power of majority votes.
Authorities also searched the suspect's car in the parking lot of the movie theater and found more magazines and ammunition, a federal law enforcement official said.
